The surrounding area was peaceful and offered great opportunities for exploring. The hosts were accommodating and came to our rescue during a medical emergency, which was truly appreciated. The comfortable bed and cosy cottage made for a delightful stay. I would highly recommend this hidden gem for a relaxing getaway.

Lodge Barns exceeded my expectations with its tranquil location, ample parking space, and easy access to Southwell town centre. the property had undergone significant improvements since my last visit, which I greatly appreciated. I found the inclusion of tourist literature to be a thoughtful touch. the property was clean, well-appointed, and even provided tea, coffee, and milk for my convenience. The peaceful surroundings, complete with a field for my dogs to play in, made it an ideal destination for a family holiday. Cons: Nothing not to like! 😊.

We had a wonderful romantic escape at this hotel. The location was perfect, nestled in a peaceful setting with a lovely village nearby. The fact that there was a pub and shop within walking distance was a great convenience. Additionally, we were only half an hour away from the city, allowing us to explore the area easily. The accommodation itself was nice and had everything we needed, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
There were a few aspects that could be improved. Customer service was lacking as there was no interaction apart from key collection.

Huge place, comfy beds, and a homely feel. the atmosphere of the barn was welcoming, making it a great space for family time. the location was lovely, with a nice pub within walking distance. the hosts were helpful and accommodating, providing a cot and high chair. It was self-catering, but basic facilities like tea and coffee were provided, and there was a well-stocked video library. Free internet access was also available.
The wifi only worked in the bedroom and was very slow, which made it difficult to get work done. the shower pressure was not great, although the water was always hot.

The self-catering aspect was great as it allowed us to have full control over our meals. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, making cooking a breeze. Additionally, the free internet provided was a bonus, allowing us to stay connected during our stay. The location was also ideal, with a local store nearby for convenience and plenty of beautiful scenery to enjoy.
The stay was quite pricey for the time of year, and we were disappointed that there were no welcome baskets or extra touches like toiletries provided. The level of cleanliness, especially in the kitchen, was not up to our expectations.

Upon arrival, we were delighted to find Lodge Barns in a lovely rural location, providing a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The accommodation was very well equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. The beautiful white sheets and towels added a touch of luxury to our experience. We appreciated the convenience of key code entry, which allowed us privacy and independence during our time there. The surrounding area offered plenty of scenic walks for us and our dog, who was warmly welcomed without any extra charges. Additionally, there were two excellent pubs within walking distance, ensuring we had enjoyable dining options nearby.
Although the showers had good functionality, we experienced some issues with low water pressure. It would also be beneficial to have better Wi-Fi connectivity as it is an essential service for most guests.
